Sheckler Set to take the Dew Action Sports Tour
By Ric Blake

Tonight is a big night for sixteen year old Ryan Sheckler, who is getting set to take the Dew Action Sports Athlete of the Year for the second year running. Sheckler has already sealed the deal by winning three of the first four stops of the Tour, and a likely win tonight at the Playstation Pro in Orlando, will give him more then he needs to once again, take the Dew Cup.
Last year Sheckler won three of the five total stops, and was 2nd and 3rd on the two that he failed to capture first on, putting him in first to win the Cup by well over 100 points. This year though, it has not been so easy with Jereme Rogers coming close to taking Sheckler’s crown. As of right now, Jereme Rogers is just 54 points behind Ryan Sheckler, and still has a possibility of taking it all if Sheckler fails to make the top 6, and Rogers’s captures first place.
Sheckler has not faltered yet this year though, and he rides with the ease and grace of a seasoned veteran, so for him to slip that far into the ranks is very unlikely. With momentum coming out of the 2006 X Games where Sheckler took silver, and having just finished filming his part in the upcoming Oakley’s Video, we here at Skater Lounge are already tipping our hats to who we think will capture the cup. Congratulations Ryan Sheckler!
